House delta

callicratesWe went after lunch to talk to Susan, our saleslady, and told her about our concerns with the house schedule. She was quite sympathetic. It sounds as if she's going to have an addendum to our contract ready by late Monday that specifies that the construction folks will have to pay the extension fee if the house isn't ready for closing by the time our rate lock runs out.
After that, we went over to the house to see what was going on. Pam (our build mangler) had told us that the roof would be done on Friday. In typical fashion, this didn't mean done Friday, it meant maybe started Friday. There was a good-sized crew up on top of the house this afternoon working on it. I wouldn't care to guess whether or not it will actually be done by sunset.
Frame inspection Monday, insulation Tuesday, sheetrock begins on Wednesday. Frankly I doubt it will happen that way. We'll see. Look for a post on Monday evening if I've got enough brain cells free.
